MySQL

MySQL is the world's most used relational database management system that runs as a server providing multi-user access to a number of databases. It is a popular choice of database for use in web applications and is used by major websites on the Internet.

PostgreSQL

PostgreSQL is an object-relational database management system (ORDBMS) with an emphasis on extensibility and standards-compliance. Its primary function is to store data securely, supporting best practices, and to allow for retrieval at the request.

HOSTING/DEV-OPS

Heroku

Heroku is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) supporting several programming languages. It is one of the first cloud platforms been in development since June 2007, when it supported only the Ruby programming language, but has since added support for Java, Node.js, Scala, Clojure and Python and (undocumented) PHP.
